Drishtikon is one of the implementing agencies of Pediatric AIDS Initiative of NACO being funded by Clinton Foundation under their CHAI programme.
Drishtikon provide care for 25 HIV+ve Children of West Delhi to ensure ART compliance and regular testing and checkups, provide psycho social support, nutrition, and counseling etc.
The rationale of pediatric initiative is to ensure that majority of the children living with HIV are beneficiaries of the comprehensive, child friendly HIV/AIDS care and treatment package.
The comprehensive care and support package includes services ranging from psycho-social, educational, recreational, nutrition, skills development, medical services for treating opportunistic infections and antiretroviral treatment as well.
The initiative is child focused with the understanding that when the services are child centric, the entire family stands to benefit.
