   IEC & BCC

Field based activity using non judgemental and non discriminatory culturally appropriate,approach to get the massage across to them.
Various methods like one to one counseling, one to group counseling, Field based interactive workshops, chaupals (informal get togethers of men) street plays, melas, Health camps and exhibitions etc are employed


  Clinical Services
  • High quality comprehensive general / reproductive health services.
  • Screening of all men and women attending the clinics carried out through blood tests and cervical and vaginal smears testing
  • STDs are treated through syndromic approach guild lines on the first visit followed by treatment for specific diseased found to be present after the test results
  • Linkages with nearby dispensaries/hospitals help in getting referrals from/to them.


  Counseling
  • Counseling is an integral part of the clinic so that the client is treated in totality and not only for the disease. As far as possible all the clients coming for treatment are provided counseling. All those suffering from STIs are counseled for change in behaviour and sexual health counseling provided for sex related problems. Couple counseling is also carried out whenever felt necessary.
    Pre and post test counseling is provided for those coming for HIV testing.


  Enabling Enviornment
  • Through advocacy meetings, Formation of Community Forum and Formation of advisory committee with secondary stake holders.

 Capacity Building
Training programmes organized for the following groups of the community:-
  • Anganwadi Workers
  • Unemployed youth
  • Young women leaders
  • Registered Medical Practitioners
  • Chemists
  • Senior employees of the transport agencies.

 


 Women Empowerment
Working in the direction of making women empowered enough to be able to take their own sexual and reproductive decisions and be aware of their sexual and reproductive rights various programe are organized like:-
  • Training women as patient attendant and helping in getting them employed
  • Training to make greeting cards and other handicraft items and marketing the products
  • Training for making surf
  • Kitty party clubs to save money
  • Informal schools for illiterate women.
  • Senior employees of the transport agencies.
